The Accredited Senior Appraiser designation requires experience, education, adherence to standards and ethics, testing, and peer review.

ASA’s must demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in business valuation. They must complete core courses and continue their education to retain the designation. ASA’s are required to adhere to the Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice (USPAP), authorized by Congress as the source of standards to offer independent opinions of value. They are tested with an ethics exam and five technical exams on USPAP; the Market, Income, and Asset approaches to value; and on advanced topics including international cost of capital, cost of capital in volatile markets, taxation of pass-through entities, and intangible value. An ASA’s work product also undergoes strict professional review to meet an examining committee’s approval. Finally, ASA’s are held to ethical practice and procedures in order to protect their clients.

Linda also holds an M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.S. from University of Rochester in Optics and Mathematics.
