Financial Analyst Internship

In this part-time contract position, the Financial Analyst will support business valuation and M&A advisory engagements.

  • Business valuation
    • Compile inputs for valuation models
    • Research comparable businesses and transactions
    • Research macro and microeconomic inputs
    • Research private costs of capital
    • Research industry, liquidity, and size relevant contributions to discount rates and market multiple discounts and premiums
    • Prepare and proofread reports
  • Proprietary database of M&A and private placement transactions
    • Research and screen transaction data
    • Analyze and prepare presentation of data
  • M&A advisory
    • Manage virtual data rooms
    • Prepare Confidential Information Memos
  • General administration
    • Manage meetings, travel, contractors, and expense reporting

Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant work experience, have completed core Masters Level managerial finance and accounting classes, and hold a B.S. in a technical discipline or business.  Strong Excel skills are a must.  Programming and IT skills are a plus.

Ideal candidates will have corporate experience supporting M&A transactions or technology product lines in the specific markets that Ceres serves. Generalist investment banking experience is not a good fit.

This is currently a part-time position requiring approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. Company is located on the Boston MBTA Green Line, Riverside Station.
